Owning your own swimming pool is a dream that is coming for true for more and more people. So, for the first time in this series of lifestyle books, we are devoting a volume to swimming pools and everything related to the subject: pool houses, bathing spaces, saunas and hammams, and also garden designs, materials used for cladding the pool, terraces, furniture and so on.

This book is divided into three chapters.

The first section concentrates on outdoor swimming pools and pool houses. A great deal of attention is paid to the harmonious integration with the garden and surrounding landscape, so this section features garden designers and landscape architects as well as builders of swimming pools.

Part II is devoted to indoor swimming pools. The greatest challenge here is the architecture of the house and the swimming-pool area itself. There is also a strong focus on the finishing of the walls, floors and the materials used to build the pool.

Finally, the third section deals with spaces that have increasingly become a natural extension of the (indoor) swimming pool in our modern lifestyle culture, such as bathing spaces, saunas and hammams and cold-water baths. A large number of inspiring creations are featured, comprehensively illustrating modern trends.
